Overview
Dupas brings manufacturers, importers and independent auditors onto the same system. Companies enter everything from a product's carbon footprint to its recycling information in one place, share it with consumers through the QR code on the product, and let government inspectors view approved passports. Built on international standards, it works for global trade as well.
Key features
- Product passport creation and QR generation
- Validator assignment and approval flows
- Read-only access for government inspectors
- International standards compliance
Use cases
Manufacturer exporting to the EU
Enters product recycling data and carbon footprint into the system, prints the QR onto the label, and has the digital passport ready for customs.
Importing company
Brings in passport data for products imported from abroad and links the digital passport to the consumer hand-off flow.
Independent validator
Reviews assigned passports, performs on-site verification, sends non-compliant ones back to the company and approves the compliant ones.
Government inspector
Monitors approved passports across the country, sees compliance breakdowns by sector and tracks non-compliance alerts for reporting.
Frequently asked questions
Which product groups does Dupas cover?
It works with the broad set of product groups falling under EU ESPR — textiles, furniture, iron and steel, electronics, household appliances. The infrastructure scales as new categories are added.
Who prepares and who approves the passport?
Manufacturers or importers prepare the passport; an assigned independent validator reviews and approves the content. Once approved, a passport cannot be deactivated, only updated.
How does the QR code work?
The system auto-generates a QR for every approved passport. Consumers scanning the QR on the product label instantly access recycling info, production conditions and compliance data.
Which standards does it comply with?
Dupas works in line with EU ESPR, UNTP (United Nations Transparency Protocol) and W3C Verifiable Credentials, so the passports it produces are recognized in international trade.
We export internationally — IDIPP or Dupas?
Dupas is designed for manufacturers and importers based in Türkiye. Companies opening directly into other markets are better served by IDIPP.
